Trust the Song, Tell the Truth

Wyoming singer-songwriter blending Americana, Red Dirt, blues, and rock

Kaspen Haley is a Wyoming singer-songwriter with a distinctly High Plains edge. When he isn’t behind a guitar, he’s a longtime flight nurse, and that work shows in his writing: honest, story-driven songs shaped by real life, hard miles, family, loss, humor, and the people he’s met along the way.

Based in Casper, Kaspen is best known as the frontman of Kaspen Haley & Boxelder Stomp. On his own, he strips things down to a voice, a guitar, and the story. Drawing on influences like Whiskey Myers, Kolton Moore and the Clever Few, and Treaty Oak Revival, he pairs classic country storytelling with the grit of blues and the drive of rock and roll. Solo tracks like “Nowhere to Stand” and “Trade It All” show that range. Whether a song is rowdy, reflective, or somewhere in between, his goal is simple: write something real enough that somebody else can hear their own story in it.

This October, Kaspen heads to historic Deadwood, South Dakota, as a contestant in the Regional Songwriting Competition at the Wild West Songwriters Festival, playing original songs, just acoustic guitar and vocals.

He follows it with his new solo single, “Can’t Leave Home,” out Late October 2026, and the first look at his forthcoming album, Factory Reset.

Since 2018, his music has built a loyal following across Wyoming and beyond. The band’s debut EP, No Path To Follow(April 2025), has helped the music rack up over 357,000 combined streams on Spotify. In 2024, Kaspen Haley & Boxelder Stomp were voted Casper’s #1 favorite local band in the Oil City News readers’ choice awards, and they were named a local favorite again in 2025 and featured in BIOCasper Magazine. Kaspen has shared stages with Dwight Yoakam, Jordan Davis, Uncle Kracker, Canaan Smith, Joe Nichols, Mark Wills, Charley Crockett, and Tris Munsick & the Innocents.

His motto, which he wears on his wrist, is simple: Trust the Song, Tell the Truth.
